A few words about yourself?
Girl with a sweet tooth, in love with elderflower, itchy feet, and a love for baking. Keep creating myself. Trust in God. Love life.
What’s special about your blog name?
I can’t exactly remember how I came across the words ‘lonely afternoon’, but I do remember imagining what you could do on a lonely afternoon. I thought it would make a great name for a blog, giving people ideas on what they could do on their afternoon. [Especially as I like to spend my afternoons looking at pretty and inspiring blogs, rather than studying ;)]
What do you like about blogging and what do you blog about?
I like the idea of connecting with people all over the world – may it be in real life, or may it be in blogosphere – sharing thoughts, inspiration, and a passion for something. The blogs I enjoy reading, and what I mainly blog about, are art related. So I love being inspired and being an inspiration, I love crafts, photographs, pretty places & spaces, yummy food…
What is important for you when it comes to blogs?
For me personally it is important that the blogger is passionate about what they do. This will show in everything – if you’re passionate, you will probably spend some time on making your blog layout more individual, you will think about what your readers would enjoy reading, you will get back to them after a lovely comment, and you will post often.
Where do you take your inspiration from?
Anywhere really. I like being outside, going for walks/runs, just looking around and being aware of what’s going on around me.
Other than that, photographs are always an inspirational source, as well as art (paintings, drawings, installations…). And sometimes you’re just lucky and the idea comes straight into your mind, like it came out of nowhere. :)
What is the most important thing for you in life?
There is nothing that I appreciate more than the relationship with my family & friends, and us all being healthy.
What is your favourite place in the world?
Don’t know. I haven’t been to all the places yet, considering that the world is so big. I guess I’d just say ‘the world’ is my favourite place to be – and the opportunity of being up to travel to all the different countries. :)
What is your favourite city?
I am sure every city has something great and special about it. I love London for its diversity and all the different nationalities. Paris has this special atmosphere about it (love atmosphere?). And Stockholm is pretty because of all the water.
And then there are more and more and more cities that I haven’t visited yet. As long as the city is big, there will always be something about it that I will love. ;)
A perfect day for you?
Sleeping in, waking up next to my partner, having a looong and yummy breakfast, going to the sea – go for a swim, go for a walk along the beach – then come back home, have dinner with friends, and go out dancing for the night.
What’s your motto?
I don’t think I really have a single one. I quite like ‘dancing people are never wrong’, it sort of implies just enjoy life. So, ‘carpe diem’. :)
What does your to-do list look like for the next 5 years?
Finish my photojournalism course, get my degree, hopefully work as a freelancer and travel a lot. :)
One last sentence?
Thank you so much for having me on your blog, Luise! :)
